What is the Jamaica Combined Cadet Force?

Who can become a cadet?
Students of high-school age enrolled in participating secondary institutions in Jamaica may join through their school unit.
Is the JCCF a military recruitment programme?
No. The JCCF is focused on youth development, leadership training and character building. Its structured training uses military-style discipline, but participation does not obligate a cadet to join the military.
What activities do cadets participate in?
Published activities include leadership and personal development, drill and ceremonial activities, physical fitness, field exercises, community service, camps, competitions and national events, with specialist training opportunities.
How can an adult become an Officer or Adult Other Rank?
Adults may apply through the official application process, submit the required documents and undergo screening and training before appointment.
